Here is how to check what firmware is on your V-Machine.
Press both MENU buttons and the screen should show 'Menu:Display' on the first line.
Press the LEFT MENU button a few times until you see 'Menu:System Info' on the first line of the screen.
On the second line you will see the firmware version which is a date of when it was released. For example you may see. 1.1 20090327 which was made on the 27th March 2009
The firmware lives inside your V-Machine and is different to the VFX application which you use on your desktop computer. The above is how to check the version of the firmware, the VFX application on your desktop computer will also have a version number. This is checked in the exact same way, you use the mouse to click on the virtual buttons and it will display the same text on the virtual LCD screen.
