 Upgrading the RAM in the V-Machine
 The standard V-Machine can be upgraded by removing the 512MB of standard RAM and replacing it with a maximum of 1GB. The RAM must meet the following specifications otherwise it may not be fully seen as 1GB:

  The V-Machine uses a female 44 pin 2.5" ATA100 IDE flash drive internally. Due to the small size of the V-Machine not all IDE drives will fit due to the following reasons. The drive itself must have a FEMALE 2.5" IDE connector, some drives have male pins and these will not fit, others are the larger 3.5" format which adapters can be used to convert from 2.5" IDE to 3.5", see the links below for an adapter source.  How to instantly change sounds when playing live.
 Setup different sounds that you wish to use on each of the four channels of the VFX mixer, you can create another 2 on the AUX channels giving 6 sounds in total. Each sound could be the same plugin inserted with a different sample or settings, or it could also be a completely different set of plugins. Then change the MIDI 'All' to a different midi channel number for each of the channels of the mixer. For example 1 on ch1 of the mixer, and 2 on ch2 of the mixer. This way only 1 sound will work

 All windows versions newer than 98se should have the support for USB AUDIO built in, however on some computers the files are missing possibly due to a hardware installing removing the files.  Why some plugins cant change patches and how to fix
 If the plugin works at changing patches in the VFX software by pressing the virtual patch left and right buttons, but does not work when on the V-Machine, then it will be that the wizard file is incomplete or you did not import the plugin with a wizard file.  You check the firmware on the V-Machine the same way as checking the VFX software version on your host computer.  Startup Timeout message when USB drive connected on power up
 If you get the following message when you start your vmachine with a USB drive connected.Startup Timeout.Disconnect USB devicesthen restart.This means your USB drive has boot files or a boot sector on it that is causing the vmachine to boot from the external USB drive and not its own drive.  Importing plugins from a USB drive to internal drive does not work
 This fix is when you import a plugin from a USB drive (either hard drive or memory stick) and the process appears to work, until you remove the USB drive which stops the bank from working. The moment the usb drive is removed the imported plugins disappear then the follow will fix a file system glitch.Create an empty bank in the VFX software, it can be called anything you like just don't insert any plugins so it transfers quickly.Press the SYNC button and transfer the
 V-Machine is stuck loading a bank/preset forever or reboots in a loop.
 If your V-Machine is locking up on the first preset, or stuck in a rebooting loop caused by a plugin crashing or locking up then there are a few things you can do to fix this.Start the V-Machine in the 'PANIC mode' described below to delete just the offending plugin. This would be the first thing to try and would allow the contents of the drive to be backed up by using the EXPORT menu.
